The 2020 Honda Africa Twin was officially teased in July 2019.

The report adds that a new regulatory filing in Australia has confirmed that the 1,084 cc engine of the 2020 Honda Africa Twin will produce 101 PS of power. In comparison, the 998 cc engine of the present generation Honda Africa Twin produces 94 PS of power. Besides the mechanical changes, the bigger and more powerful Honda Africa Twin will also get several cosmetic changes.

The headlamps are now neatly integrated to the fairing. Besides that, the frame and subframe will be new. However, the windscreen may be smaller than the present version. To meet the upcoming Euro 5 emission norms, the 2020 Honda Africa Twin will also get a bigger exhaust canister. The top-end Adventure Sports variant will continue to get a bigger fuel tank and sturdier bash plate.

The Honda Africa Twin will also gain direct injection to further reduce tailpipe emissions. The digital instrumentation will be retained, albeit with few changes. DCT should remain optional internationally but standard in India.

Another very enticing yet very practical feature of the Honda Africa Twin is the adjustable seat height. We expect this to be carried forward in the MY2020 model. Also, we would love to see a smart key with keyless ignition in the new bike.
