The matte gold finish is visible throughout the motorcycle. Custom graphics and black panels add a neat contrast to the custom colour. The lower half of the fairing gets a black finish along with a golden coloured Kawasaki sticker, while the fuel tank features a black Ninja branding. The custom colour appears to be a wrap instead of a paint job. It is a dealer-level modification and Kawasaki does not offer such a colour option anywhere in the world.

The modifications are limited to visuals. So, the Kawasaki Ninja 250 seen in the photographs carries all the stock engine and hardware specifications. The 249 cc parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with fuel injection system puts out 39 PS of peak power at 12,500 rpm and 23.5 Nm of max torque at 10,000 rpm. Conventional telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock perform shock absorption tasks. Anchoring department comprises petal-type disc brakes on both wheels, while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS.

Styling cues include twin-pod LED headlight at the front that looks nearly identical to the bigger Ninja 400 and the ZX-6R, fairing integrated conventional blinkers at the front and a LED taillight. The step-up seat with its split design lends the motorcycle a sporty look. The custom colour makes it one of the most appealing Ninja 250s out there.

In other updates, Kawasaki is working on an inline four-cylinder version of 250 cc Ninja - the ZX25R. The new motorcycle will reportedly debut at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show (24 October – 4 November) before arriving in the showrooms in 2020. A report from earlier this month claimed that the inline four-cylinder ZX-25R would churn out a commendable 60 PS of maximum power. For reference, the Kawasaki Ninja 400’s 399 cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor makes 49 PS at 10,000 rpm. The Indian launch details of the ZX-25R are scarce. If launched, it should be sold in limited numbers, most definitely as a CBU import.
