In terms of styling, all three motorcycles have pack unique styling and look appealing. The CFMoto 650MT, however, packs more premium features in the form of full LED lighting (headlight, taillight and blinkers). The vertically stacked headlight setup looks different from the horizontally placed setup on the Versys 650 and the TRK 502. The middleweight products from Kawasaki and Benelli use halogen headlight. The TRK 502 and 650MT come with knuckle guards as standard that gives them a slightly rugged look.
The touring friendly ergonomics on all three bikes bring upright ergonomics that work with the semi-fairing design and a tall windscreen to offer better comfort on long hauls. All three vehicles are road-biased and thus come equipped with 17-inch wheels on both ends. The exhaust canisters on the three bikes sit closer to the centre of gravity. The compact sizes of the canisters give the vehicles a clean look from the side view.
The Benelli TRK 502 is the only motorcycle among the three vehicles in this tech-spec comparison that comes with an off-road variant, the TRK 502X. The Benelli TRK 502X gets wire-spoke wheels and a tall-set exhaust for better off-road prowess. The Versys 650 and the 650MT are only available in road-biased guise.
The CFMoto 650MT packs more marginally more power than the Versys 650, but the torque output figure is slightly lower. The 649.3 cc parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine on the 650MT makes 70.7 PS of max power at 8,750 rpm and 62 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The Kawasaki Versys 650, on the other hand, draws 69 PS of max power at 8,500 rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 from its 649 cc parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. The Benelli TRK 502’s lower displacement results in lower power and torque output figures. A 499.5 cc parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 8-valve engine that produces 47.5 PS at 8,500 rpm and 46 Nm at 6,000 rpm propels the TRK 502.
The hardware specifications on all three models match each other. Inverted telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the back perform the shock absorption duties. However, the Versys 650 and the 650MT come with adjustable front and rear suspension. The TRK 502 has an adjustable monoshock.
Braking setup, too, is nearly identical on all three vehicles, and the stopping power comes from dual discs at the front and a single disc at the back. The braking setup is governed by dual-channel ABS.

The price on the CFMoto 650MT, as mentioned above, is introductory. While the revised price will no longer undercut the Benelli TRK 502, the 650MT would most definitely still be more affordable than the Kawasaki Versys 650. The Kawasaki middleweight tourer is backed by a comprehensive service network that's spread throughout the country. The 650MT, on the other hand, is only available in six cities for now.
