The Italian brand posted a photograph of a covered motorcycle on its Instagram handle with the description:

Ducati has remained tight-lipped about the finer details. All products in the 2020 model range will arrive with Euro-V compliance. It will be safe to assume that the list of products will include the naked roadster variant of the Panigale V4. The upcoming Streetfighter naked roadster will use the company’s Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine. We saw the prototype of the vehicle during the Pikes Peak Internation Hill Climb – an unfortunate day when talented racer and Ducati rider, Carlin Dunne left us.

The V4 engine-powered naked roadster will carry the same displacement as the Panigale V4 and V4S. The 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale 90° V4, liquid-cooled engine should deliver between 170-180 HP. For reference, the Aprilia Tuono V4 draws 175 hp of maximum power from its 1077 cc Aprilia longitudinal 65° V4, liquid-cooled, DOHC motor. Other rivals such as the KTM 1290 Super Duke R, BMW S1000R and the Yamaha MT-10 churn out 180 hp, 165 hp and 158 hp of peak power respectively.

Do note that the motorcycle in the teaser photograph posted by Ducati is not the V4 Streetfighter. The twin-pod exhaust design resembles the Monster 1200. Thus, the updated Monster range will also be seen at the unveiling event.

Earlier this week, we saw a spy photo of the V4 powered Multistrada. The vehicle appeared to be in the early form of development, although we may see the production-spec model on 23 October. The Multistrada V4 will share its Desmosedici Stradale 90° V4 engine with the Panigale V4 and the Streetfighter V4.
