The Panigale V4 R is a depiction of the finest Ducati precision and racing pedigree that delivers performance akin to a MotoGP bike. Bringing that experience in India marks a special chapter for Ducati. We are very excited and proud to have the Panigale V4 R on the Indian racetracks very soon.
To give you a recap, the Panigale V4 R is a road-legal World Superbike (ESBK) category racing bike. Unlike the standard Panigale V4 (V4, V4 S and the V4 Speciale), the V4 R comes with a 998 cc 90-degree V4, Desmosedici Stradale R engine. The lower displacement than the standard Panigale V4 range aims to comply with the limits established by WSBK championship rules. The motor churns out a colossal of 221 hp at 15,250 rpm and 112 Nm at 11,500 rpm. The performance numbers can be boosted to 234 hp at 15,500 rpm through the full-racing Ducati Performance exhaust from Akrapovic.
Key features of the Panigale V4 R include MotoGP-style wings elements on the fairing, race-grade titanium-nitride-coated 43mm Ohlins NPX 25/30 front fork and Ohlins TTX 36 rear shock with mechanical adjustment (Panigale V4 S has electronic units), Brembo Stylema callipers and an aluminium swingarm with an adjustable four-position axle. The fairing has been designed and developed by Ducati Corse along with the Ducati Style Centre. The front frame has been tweaked for added stiffness.
