If you have about USD 630.95 (approximately INR 43,786) to spend on your Royal Enfield 650, you can get a Big Bore Kit from S&S Performance that will boost the total displacement to 750 cc. For four more dollars (or INR 262) you can buy an even bigger kit that will take the displacement to 865 cc. The kit includes cylinders, pistons and a head gasket.

The performance boost resulting from the added displacement is yet to be revealed. The stock, 648 cc parallel-twin cylinder, air & oil cooled engine with a single overhead camshaft that makes 47 bhp of peak power at 7,250 rpm and 52 Nm of max torque at 5,250 rpm. The optional extras from S&S Performance are available in select international markets, and it will be difficult to source the parts in India. Moreover, the company has added a disclaimer on its website that the Big Bore Kit is for closed course competition use only, and it is not intended for street use. Back home, the Royal Enfield 650 Twins will reportedly receive their first price hike since the launch in November last year. Currently, the prices for the Interceptor INT 650 start from INR 2.50 lakh*, while the Continental GT 650 cafe race can be purchased from INR 2.65 lakh* onwards. The Interceptor INT 650 and the Continental GT 650 are expected to receive a price increase of INR 20,000, which will bring the new ex-showroom cost to INR 2.70 lakh* and INR 2.85 lakh* respectively. The most expensive Chrome variants, post the price hike, will retail at INR 2.92 lakh* for the Interceptor INT 650 and INR 3.05 lakh* for the Continental GT 650.
