A scrambler from Royal Enfield is still some time away, but the folks at Termignoni Exhaust Systems have something special in store. The company has announced a scrambler-style exhaust system for the Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 that gives the modern classic roadster an off-road ready persona. Check out the exhaust note in the video below:

While the new Termignoni exhaust for the Interceptor INT 650 retains the twin opening at the back, the pipes sit on the left side of the motorcycle. The tall placement of the exhaust improves the water wading capabilities to a certain extent and gives a marginally better ground clearance. The standard bike, for reference, comes with a twin-sided muffler layout. The bash plate comes as standard, although the motorcycle in the images uses off-road biased knobby tyres that adds a rugged look to the package.

Unfortunately, the exhaust system will not be available in India in the foreseeable future. Do note that Royal Enfield offers an S&S exhaust also as a part of the optional accessories internationally, but not in the domestic market. The company is yet to list the exhaust on its international website. Currently, the Royal Enfield tab on Termignoni’s website displays only the Himalayan.

Changes to the power output numbers post the installation of the Termignoni exhaust system are not available. The standard motorcycle, for reference, draws 47 bhp of max power at 7,250 rpm and 52 Nm of peak torque at 5,250 rpm from its 648 cc parallel-twin cylinder, air & oil cooled engine, SOHC engine. The single-piece forged counterbalanced crankshaft comes with a 270-degree firing order that gives the Royal Enfield 650 Twins a V-Twin like exhaust note. The Termignoni exhaust system further enhances the sound from the engine.

Apart from the exhaust system, the motorcycle in the images uses aftermarket LED blinkers and revised rear suspension. The front suspension gets fork gaiters for improved protection to the oil seals from various elements.
