The KTM 390 Adventure is the most awaited motorcycle this year. A new report from Bikewale says that India will be the first market where the KTM 390 Adventure will be launched. Based on the KTM 390 Duke, the adventure tourer is expected to be unveiled at EICMA 2019 in November. Expect the Husqvarna twins to also be launched in the same time frame.
The KTM 390 Adventure will be powered by the same 373.2 cc single cylinder, DOHC, fuel injected mill from the KTM 390 Duke, albeit in a different tune, as an adventure tourer needs more torque at lower engine speeds. At present, the powerplant produces 43.5 hp of power and 37 Nm of torque.
The KTM 390 Adventure will be suspended over upside down fork sourced from their sister company WP suspension with extra travel. The rear will get a monoshock with adjustable preload. Spy shots have confirmed that KTM will be launching an alloy wheel variant and a spoked rim version. The latter is the variant which enthusiasts will be more interested in. Based on the spy images captured so far, it is safe to assume that the KTM 390 Adventure will be shod with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear unit. The tyres will be on and off road biased.

The adventurer motorcycle will have a trellis frame which will be further enhanced by a plethora of engine guards. The handlebar will also be strengthened to take on the beaten track. Expect top level spec features in the KTM 390 Adventure. This will include LED headlamp, coloured TFT display and optional Bluetooth connectivity as seen in the Duke 390. Other features like Ride by Wire and slipper clutch may also be carried on.
An adventure tourer needs extra luggage space and KTM will likely be offering several options. The bike will likely be available with several optional accessories including panniers (both soft and hard) and a top case. We expect the KTM 390 Adventure to be priced in the range of INR 2.6-2.9 lakh.
