The Suzuki Gixxer 250 SF has been spied being dispatched from its factory to dealerships. The launch is scheduled to take place on 20 May.

Spy shots show the upcoming quarter-litre Suzuki Gixxer model heavily covered with plastic and bubble wrap to protect it from damage during transportation, thus hiding most of the details. However, closer inspection reveals the lower part of the fairing, thus confirming that it will be a full-faired motorcycle, presumably with the familiar 'SF' suffix. Contrary to the rumours, the upcoming motorcycle seems to use clip-on style handlebars for sportier ergonomics. The spy images also show the alloy wheel design that gets a silver finish on the sides. The wheels are wrapped in MRF REVZ tyres. The photograph from the front clearly reveals the MRF REVZ FC-1’s tread pattern.
A report from earlier this month claimed that the Suzuki Gixxer SF will feature a dual-channel ABS and be available in three colour options – blue, grey and silver. The same source stated that the motorcycle will be powered by a BS-VI 26.5 hp 250 cc oil-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-valve motor. Thus, apart from a fuel injection system, it will have an O2 sensor, electronic control unit, an onboard diagnostic module and a three-way catalytic converter.
The spy images show that the front suspension setup includes conventional telescopic forks. The rear will most likely include a five-step adjustable monoshock. Brake rotors featuring a traditional design instead of a petal-type pattern. Anchoring power will come from a single disc on both wheels.
The quarter-litre Suzuki Gixxer SF will compete with the Honda CBR250R and the Yamaha Fazer 250 in India and could be priced close to INR 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will pack features like full-LED headlight and tail lamp, digital instrument console and dual exhaust tips.

Suzuki wants to offer a premium buying experience to its customers, and so, it has instructed its dealers to adopt a new layout. Only those outlets that comply with the layout instructions will receive the new quarter-litre model.
