We recently tested the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400, and regular readers would have read our detailed review of the motorcycle. Now, we have learnt that Bajaj Auto has passed the responsibility of creating official accessories for the 2019 Dominar 400 to Autologue Design. The Pune-based company would develop accessories for the Dominar 400 and sell them via Bajaj dealerships. However, Bajaj Auto would not have their branding and part number on the accessories created by Autologue Design.

Apart from doing a quality check, Bajaj Auto would not be involved in creating the accessories. Direct supply of the optional extras to the Bajaj dealerships would keep the prices affordable.
IAB got in touch with Autologue Design to get some more details about the accessories. The company has been creating accessories for the Dominar 400 for quite some time. At the media ride, Bajaj Auto confirmed that the list of optional extras includes a taller windscreen, saddle stay, passenger backrest and bash plate – all of which are aimed to improve the motorcycle’s touring capabilities. Autologue creates a high set front fender and custom saddle also for the Dominar 400.
The accessories would be available shortly after the motorcycle is launched, which is likely to happen by 21 March. Bajaj Auto has not announced a launch date although the company did confirm at the media ride that the prices would be published in two weeks (starting from 6 March). The motorcycle is expected to arrive near the INR 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag.
The new Dominar 400 packs several visual and mechanical upgrades. The 373.3 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with fuel injection delivers 5 PS of more power output while the torque remains unchanged. The performance numbers stand at 39.9 PS at 8,650 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and retains the slipper clutch function.

Revised hardware on the motorcycle includes upside down forks at the front, new layout for the instrument console, pre-installed bungee straps under the pillion seat, redesigned mounts for the rearview mirrors, repositioned front disc brake with radially mounted callipers, new side stand, wider crash guards and revised internals for the headlight and tail lamp.
