Bookings for the Jawa Perak bobber will commence towards the end of this year (September), Anupam Thareja, Founder - Classic Legends Pvt Ltd., confirmed to IAB.

Jawa Perak Bobber Right Front Quarter
Jawa Motorcycles is concentrating on the deliveries of the Jawa and the Jawa Forty-Two. The Perak will be available for sale by the end of this year.

Speaking to IAB at the inauguration of the Jawa dealerships in Mumbai, Mr Anupam Thareja said:

As of now, we are taking bookings only for these two bikes. We want to provide the best sales & service experience. So, probably towards the end of the year, we'll start the bookings for the Perak.

Classic Legends introduced the Jawa Perak in India, priced at INR 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), alongside the Jawa Classic and the Jawa Forty-Two. The Perak is a modern-classic factory custom bobber that is underpinned by a slightly modified chassis, a single cantilever seat, an under-seat mono-shock and a redesigned swingarm. Deliveries are expected to commence by the end of 2019.

The Jawa Perak factory custom bobber is powered by a bored-out 334cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, fuel-injected bike that is capable of producing 30 bhp of maximum power and 31 Nm of peak torque. The motor is connected to a six-speed transmission.

The Jawa Perak will enjoy tremendous exclusivity when it goes on sale later this year. While it doesn't have direct rivals, the Perak will take on the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Thunderbird 350. Unlike the Jawa and the Jawa Forty-Two, the Perak is equipped with disc brakes at both the ends and dual-channel ABS as standard fitment.
