The TVS Apache RR310 started its journey as the Akula concept at the Auto Expo where the motorcycle was seen with full carbon-fibre bodywork. The bike shed its concept name as it made it to production, but folks at KNIGHT Auto Customizer decided to rename the Apache RR310 as Akula as they gave the flagship TVS bike a mild makeover.

For starters, the motorcycle wears a unique Satin Pearl White paint. The Apache and the RR310 branding has been removed from the fairing and instead, the custom painted motorcycle features the Akula 310 and BMW Motorrad tags. The fairing comes in a dual-tone finish on the standard bike but this custom painted unit features a single colour. The wheels, too, get a new colour and the units on the custom painted Apache RR310 come in a shade of Gloss Flash Red.
For reference, the standard motorcycle is available in Racing Red and Racing Black.
The fascia receives an upgrade in the form of a black windscreen, but the most appealing change is the fender. While some custom builders use stickers, KNIGHT Auto Customizer opted for hydrographics to give a carbon-fibre finish to the fender, and it looks almost as good as the real deal.
The steering duties are continued to be performed by the standard handlebar although a pair of MotoGP lever protectors adds a sporty look to the package. The stock brake/clutch levers have been traded for an adjustable aftermarket unit. At the back, the tail has been tweaked for a more compact look.
Rest of the body continues to feature the same styling as the standard motorcycle although you would notice that the 3D TVS logo has been exchanged for a sticker. The tank also gets a pad to protect the paint from belt buckles.

The custom painted motorcycle continues to use stock state of tune for the engine. Paired to a six-speed gearbox, the 312.2cc 4-valve, single cylinder, liquid cooled, reverse inclined motor delivers 34 PS at 9,700 rpm and 27.3 Nm at 7,700 rpm. Braking setup includes a 300mm petal-type disc at the front while at the rear is a 240mm petal-type unit.
