2019 Yamaha Exciter Limited Edition launched in Vietnam

Yamaha has launched the 2019 Exciter Limited Edition in Vietnam. This underbone carries a price tag of VND 47.99 million (INR 1.43 lakhs). That’s VND 1 million (INR 2,979) more than the entry-level Yamaha Exciter 150 RC.

The 2019 Yamaha Exciter is available in two colour options, Dawn and Dusk.

Changes in the 2019 Yamaha Exciter Limited Edition are only cosmetic. The underbone is retailed in two colours, Dawn (blue shade) and Dusk (grey shade). Besides that, the Limited Edition Exciter gets new graphics. Features list remains the same. The scooter gets an Answer Back Key which will help riders find their ride within a range of 20 metres.

Other features include an LED headlamp, engine kill switch and a pass light integrated into the high/low beam switch. Also, the instrumentation console is an all-digital instrumentation console with a blue backlight. The console packs the usual bells and whistles like speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and a gear position indicator. Also, the large LCD panel is easy to read.

Braking duties in Yamaha Exciter Limited Edition are administered by a 245 mm disc in the front and a 203 mm disc in the rear. The Exciter tips the scales at 117 kg and has a seat height of 795 mm. Also, the ground clearance is a respectable 155 mm. Besides that, the 17-inch wheels are shod with 90/80 specification rubber in the front and 120/70 unit in the rear.

Powering the Yamaha Exciter Limited Edition is a 150 cc 4-valve, liquid-cooled, SOHC engine. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox, the fuel-injected engine can produce 15.4 PS of power and 13.8 Nm of torque. Also, the powerplant has a high compression ratio of 10.4:1 which signify a performance-focused output.

Several Vietnamese media agencies have been speculating an all-new Yamaha Exciter with the 155 cc VVA mill from the Yamaha NMax. However, the speculated Yamaha Exciter 155 seems to be some time away. Back home, Yamaha has launched the MotoGP edition variants of Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0, FZ-25 and Cygnus Ray ZR.
