Hyundai has revised the i20 range in India for MY2019, reports MotorBeam. The changes are yet to reflect on the company’s website and in the brochure.

Reverse parking sensors, included in only the Asta and Asta (O) grades previously, are standard in the Hyundai i20 now.

Previously, the Hyundai i20 was available in Era, Magna Executive, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O) grades. Now, according to the report, the range comprises Era, Magna+, Sportz+ and Asta (O) grades.

Reverse parking sensors, included in only the Asta and Asta (O) grades previously, are standard now. Hyundai has introduced Eco Coating for fresh and odour-free air in the hatchback, and that is a standard feature. The Magna+ includes some features that were unavailable in the Magna grade. These are daytime running lights, front fog lamps, chrome grille, Bluetooth, steering-mounted audio controls and voice recognition.

The Sportz+ grade features 15-inch gunmetal alloy wheels if the customer specifies the car in a single-tone exterior colour scheme or 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels in case of a dual-tone option. It features chrome grille surround, Arkamys AVN system with smartphone connectivity, rear camera, sliding front armrest and tilt/telescopic steering as well. Lastly, specifying the car in a dual-tone option adds black ORVMs (previously unavailable) to the list.

With the MY2019 update, Hyundai has introduced a wireless charger in the i20. The segment-first feature is included in the Sportz+ and Asta (O) grades.

The engine options and transmission choices have remained the same post the MY2019 update. The Hyundai i20 is still available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine coupled to a standard 5-speed manual transmission or an optional CVT as well as a 1.4-litre diesel engine married to a standard 6-speed manual transmission. However, customers can finally specify CVT in the Asta (O) grade now. Previously, CVT was available in only the Magna Executive and Asta grades.
