Hyundai dropped the bombshell today by taking the veils off the '2019 Grand i10 Nios'. The company has released a promo video ahead of the car's launch on 20 August 2019. The promo video throws lights on the exterior design and also reveals the rear-end partially.
The 2019 Grand i10 Nios has raised the bar in the A-segment. Its exterior design has been tweaked heavily. It comes with sleeker and aggressive looking projector headlamps flanking a more expressive Cascading grille which is wider and features boomerang styled LED DRLs on its outer ends. The company has tried to make it more appealing with the use of aggressively styled creases on the hood and a much sportier bumper featuring vertical fog lamp housing. On the sides, it makes use of new machine cut dual-tone alloys which certainly make the car more attractive. Its beltline has a sharper rise towards the end resulting in a sleeker greenhouse. At the rear, it features new wraparound tail lamps.
On the inside too, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios carries a greater degree of updates such as a newly designed dashboard in a more contemporary look, a more compact steering wheel which has been designed on the lines of other global models from Hyundai, new turbine-inspired outer air-vents and a reportedly bigger, 8-inch display which sits higher for more convenience. Furthermore, it also gets a new semi-digital instrument cluster. All that along with the use of white and black contrasting colours make the cabin look more upmarket.
Hyundai still hasn't revealed the specifications of the new Grand i10 Nios, but previous reports have said that it is going to be offered with BS-VI 1.2L Kappa petrol and BS-VI 1.2L U2 CRDi diesel engines along with 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual gearbox options. There is also a word about a 1.0L T-GDI petrol engine with 7-speed DCT, but full details will only be made available at its launch.

Expect the 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios to be priced from around INR 5-5.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Hyundai has already started taking the official pre-bookings for a token amount of INR 11,000. Interestingly, the current Hyundai Grand i10 will continue being sold alongside even after the new model arrives.
