The flagship Bajaj Auto product, the Dominar 400, has received another price hike, its second one since the MY2019 update in April. The new price is INR 1,80,001*.
Before the latest price hike, the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 retailed at INR 1,74,125*. The government has proposed to increase the registration fee to INR 1,000 as against the current INR 50 for two-wheelers. The on-road price is likely to go even higher if the road transport ministry implements the new registration fee.
Bajaj Auto has updated its website with the new price. It is yet to introduce the new Glossy Red colour option, which was reported earlier this month to happen very soon. Currently, the 2019 Dominar 400 is available in two colour options – Aurora Green and Vine Black.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 registered a 60% increase in year-on-year sales for June. Check out the six-month sales performance of the Bajaj Dominar 400 below:

To refresh your memory about the 2019 model, the Dominar 400 UG (upgrade) comes with a more powerful motor than before. The 373.3 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine gets a DOHC system. This motor now churns out 40 PS of max power at 8,650 rpm and 35 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. In comparison, its predecessor made 35 PS of max power.
The updated feature list on the 2019 Dominar 400 includes upside-down front forks, radially mounted front calliper, revised instrument console layout and twin-barrel exhaust design. The headlight and taillight internals have been optimised for better performance. Other improvements come in the form of updated mirror design, cast aluminium stalks for the mirrors, forged steel side stand, new tank pad decals and bungee straps under the passenger seat.
Despite the price hike, the Bajaj Dominar 400 is the most value-for-money model in its segment. Its rivals BMW G 310 R and the newly launched CFMoto 300NK retail at INR 2.99 lakh* and INR 2.29 lakh* respectively.
