The CFMoto 300NK will compete with the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R and Honda CB300R in the Indian market. In one of the teaser images for the 300NK, CFMoto stated, “Austrian Design”. The Chinese brand entered into a joint venture with KTM AG in October 2017. KTM AG entered into the agreement to expand its market presence in one of the biggest two-wheeler markets in the world - China. CFMoto holds a 51% stake in CFMoto-KTMR2R.
The motorcycle packs several features that bring its spec sheet closer to the segment-leading KTM 390 Duke naked roadster. For starters, the 300NK packs full LED lighting (headlamp, blinkers and taillight) – a feature that was first seen on the KTM 390 Duke and most recently on the Honda CB300R in the displacement class. The cockpit features a digital instrument console that displays a plethora of information.
In terms of styling, the 300NK packs a muscular look with radiator shrouds and chiselled tank. The engine cowl adds a sporty persona to the motorcycle, while the underbelly exhaust gives it a clean and minimalistic look. Split-style saddle and a compact tail section further enhance the aggressive styling. The rear number plate sits on the tyre hugger at the back. The 300NK is available in two colour options.
In terms of performance, the 300NK draws 25 kW or 33.9 PS of power at 7,200 rpm and 20.5 Nm of peak torque at 8,800 rpm from its 292.4 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-valve, DOHC engine. The motor is linked to a six-speed transmission. The premium hardware matches its rivals and the 300NK uses upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the back to perform the shock absorption tasks. Anchoring department comprises disc brakes governed by dual-channel ABS.
The new CFMoto 300NK will be available in six cities:
