The 2019 Audi TT Roadster 20th Anniversary edition was showcased at the Paris Motor Show this month. The new model will go on sale in Germany and other European markets around the end of the current calendar year. It will have a base price of approximately 37,500 euros (INR 3174877.32).
The 2019 Audi TT Roadster and Coupe 20th Anniversary editions were unveiled in July 2019. The celebratory models feature a Pfeilgrau (Arrow Grey) paint job along with a brown leather interior with baseball-glove-style contrast stitching that harks back to the original TT’s signature interior upholstery option. The unique variants also carry a set of new wheels and several styling touches that pay homage to the original TT from 1998. Yet another highlight is the OLED taillights that have been borrowed from the TT RS. The production of the 20th Anniversary edition will be restricted to 999 copies.
Like other convertibles from the Ingolstadt-based carmaker, the 2019 Audi TT Roadster will offer two colour options for the soft top - black and grey. The fabric top has a tight fit and provides excellent sound insulation. An electrical drive can open and close the lid in roughly ten seconds at vehicle speeds of up to 50 km/h.
Mechanically, the special variant remains unchanged. It draws power from a 2.0-litre TFSI four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine is available in two states of tune and three trims - 40 TFSI, 45 TFSI, and 45 TFSI Quattro. The base engine outputs 197 hp (145 kW) and 236 lb-ft (320 Nm). The 45 TFSI and TFSI Quattro options offer 245 hp (180 kW) and 272 lb-ft (370 Nm).
In the front-wheel-drive configuration, the 2019 Audi TT will be sold with two transmission choices - 6-speed manual and 7-speed S-Tronic automatic. The latter is the only option available for the 45 TFSI Quattro (all-wheel-drive) trim.
