The next-gen Audi A6 made its debut in 2018 and is headed to the Indian market now. Recent spy shots and the commencement of its promotional campaign in the country suggest that it's about to be launched this month. Now, a report from ZigWheels says that it will be priced at INR 56 lakh in the country.
The all-new Audi A6 sports the new design language which was featured on the Audi Prologue concept models. It will make use of an angular and larger hexagonal single-frame grille, flanked by HD Matrix LED headlights. These lights embed five-lined DRLs which sport a futuristic design. At the back, the rear-fascia has new combination lamps and a new tailgate. Like the headlights, the tail lights get similar designed treatment in the form of nine vertical light signature elements with a single horizontal line at the top.
In terms of overall dimensions, the 2019 Audi A6 measures 4,939 mm in length, 1,886 mm in width and 1,457 mm in height. In comparison to the current model, it is 7 mm longer, 12 mm wider and 2 mm tall. Furthermore, it also has a 12 mm longer wheelbase which spans 2,924 mm. Inside, it follows the latest Audi A8 and Audi A7's footsteps making use of a dual-display setup - a 10.1-inch infotainment display on the top and an 8.6-inch display in the bottom for climate control, convenience functions, text input and more.
Mechanically, the 2019 Audi A6 will employ a BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre petrol unit instead of the current 1.8-litre engine. The new bigger engine will produce a higher 245 PS of maximum power and 370 Nm of peak torque and will be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. For the uninitiated, the 45 TFSI (FWD) is the engine variant for our market.
