Having been spotted testing on the Nurburgring Nordschleife, IAB’s automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania has whipped up a digital rendering of the toughened-up Audi A1 Allroad.
The new model will become the smallest model to feature the Allroad livery. The 2019 Audi A1 Allroad will feature a plastic body cladding, bigger wheels, a faux skid plate, and a taller ride height.
The highlight of the interior of the 2019 Audi A1 Allroad will be the 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit digital instrumentation. Furthermore, the dashboard will feature an 8.8-inch touchscreen display for the MMI infotainment unit. It will offer smartphone mirroring through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While the interior of the new model will mimic that of its hatchback-sibling, one can safely expect a revision of the upholstery and more colour on the trims.
It is understood that the range-topping engine options for the regular A1 would make it to the Allroad version. For the 2019 Audi A1 Sportback, the engine options include petrol motors with power outputs ranging from 70 kW (95 hp) to 147 kW (200 hp). All the motors benefit from turbocharging and direct injection technology. Transmission options across all the variants include a 6-speed manual and a seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch automatic unit. The only exception is the range-topping motor, which is available with a six-speed S-tronic transmission only.
The 2019 Audi A1 is expected to be unveiled early next year, with the market launch likely to take place in mid-2019.
