The recently revealed Mahindra XUV300 will launch in the first half of February 2019. Following the introduction of the new compact SUV, M&M will release a couple of facelifts in the next calendar year. In 2020, the company will come up with big-ticket launches such as the next-gen Mahindra Scorpio (codename - Z101), next-gen Mahindra Thar, and next-gen Mahindra XUV500 (codename - W601).

The Mahindra XUV300 shares its X100-platform with the Ssangyong Tivoli. That said, the company insists that its Maruti Vitara Brezza-rival is entirely different from the Korean donor as it features a totally reskinned 'Cheetah-inspired' design and Mahindra's own petrol and diesel engines. Among the highlights of the new model is its equipment list, which includes some high-end features like dual-zone automatic climate control, electric sunroof, four disc brakes, and seven airbags.
The XUV300 is the second all-new Mahindra model, after the Alturas G4, to offer several segment-leading features. This could be a precursor to a similarly high equipment level for the future premium products from the company, which include the next-gen Mahindra Scorpio and the next-gen XUV500.
Speaking to IAB on the equipment-level that can be expected from the next-gen Mahindra Scorpio and XUV500, Dr Pawan Goenka, Managing Director, M&M has said -
As technology evolves, what was high-end and coming only in more expensive vehicles starts trickling down to lower vehicles. Back when we were developing the Scorpio, we had manual window winders and were happy to have power windows in the highest grade. Today, people have forgotten what manual winder is. What is coming into, let’s say, in Mahindra Alturas G4, which is a 30 lakh car, 6-7 years from now, will come in 15 lakh car, in 10 years, it will come in 10 lakh rupees car. So this will happen and there, clearly, we have to keep moving the needle on technology and features of our more premium models.

The next-gen Mahindra Scorpio will reportedly ride on an updated version of the current platform. Meanwhile, the all-new XUV500 will be underpinned by a new monocoque architecture. The latter will underpin a new Ford C-SUV that will be slotted between the EcoSport and the Endeavour.
