2018 Skoda Superb Combi Facelift Images Front Head
At the front, the 2019 Skoda Superb (facelift) features a modified bumper, LED headlights (in place of bi-Xenon headlights) and a likely a revised grille design too.

As hinted at by the leaked images of the updated car's front bumper, the changes to the car's front-end are subtle in nature. Full-LED headlamps have replaced the Bi-Xenon headlamps. The upper grille and lower grille may seem unchanged at the first look, but a closer examination shows that Skoda has cleverly hidden the changes using faux elements. On the sides, expect several new alloy wheel designs.

Changes at the rear will be restricted to revised tail lamps and chrome ornamentation that will run between the updated lighting setup. Furthermore, the 2019 Superb features dynamic turn indicators (rear), a feature which debuted in the Scala at Skoda.

As far as mechanical changes are concerned, the most significant update will come in the form of the introduction of a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It will comprise a 156 PS 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine along with a 115 PS electric motor. The electrified powertrain will have a combined power output of 217 PS. The electric motor will draw power from a 13 kWh battery that will offer a pure electric range of almost 70 kilometres. The current engine lineup, which includes 1.4-litre, 1.8-litre, and 2.0-litre petrol and 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre diesel motors will be retained. It's not known if the company would update any of the current engines.
