The special edition Bajaj Pulsar 150 Classic with red logos and graphics that was previously sighted at a showroom in a YouTube video has been launched in India at INR 64,998 (ex-showroom Delhi). The special edition model will be available in two colour options - Red and Black, and Silver and Black. Kevin D’Sa, president (finance), Bajaj Auto had confirmed in an interview that the company will come up with new design and features on the Pulsar Classic which should push total Pulsar volumes to 90,000 in Q4.

As reported, the Pulsar 150 Classic’s black paint is accompanied by red graphics above the headlight, tank pad, side panels, wheels and pillion grab rail on the special edition. The Pulsar branding on the fuel tank and the “150” logo on the rear panel, which is a 3D unit instead of a sticker, also get a red finish. Contrast stitching on the seat, which carries the theme of the motorcycle, enhances the premium look and feel of the bike. The silver and black version dons all the aforementioned logos and graphics in silver colour.

Changes on the special edition Pulsar 150 Classic are limited to the graphics and logos. The motorcycle continues to use the 149.5cc, single cylinder, twin spark engine that is tuned to deliver 14 PS of maximum power and 13.4 Nm of peak torque. A single disc at the front and a drum unit at the rear perform the stopping tasks.

The Pulsar 150 Classic is positioned below the Pulsar 150 Twin Disc variant but yet sells in lower numbers than the premium model. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, confirmed in an interview that the Pulsar 150 Twin Disc has outrun the relatively cheaper Pulsar 150 Classic in sales to the tune of 3X. Moreover, only 5,000 units of the 80,000-unit Pulsar monthly volume comes from the Classic.
