Kawasaki has revealed the MY2019 Versys X 300 at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. In its latest iteration, the Versys X 300 comes in dual tone paint scheme that is available in two options - Metallic Moondust Grey / Metallic Flat Spark Black and Candy Lime Green / Metallic Flat Spark Black.

As part for 2019 upgrade, the Versys X 300 now comes with a black finish to the fairing and the headlight mask. The Versys branding, similar to the 650 cc and 1000 cc models, runs from the sides of the fuel tank, onto the fairing. The side and the rear panel, too, get a black finish, while the fuel tank features Metallic Moondust Grey or the Candy Lime Green paint. Unlike the MY2018 model, the latest version comes with black colour for the wire spoke wheels.
The motorcycle retains the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination that is aimed to offer a balance between on-road and off-road riding. The front wheel is wrapped in 100/90-19M/C 57S section tyre while at the rear there is a 130/80-17M/C 65S tyre.
Globally, the 2019 Kawasaki Versys X 300 is available in both ABS and non-ABS variants. In India, the motorcycle is available in only the non-ABS version. However, Kawasaki will introduce the ABS-equipped version and make it the only available offering by April 2019, to adhere to the more stringent safety norms by the deadline. The MY2018 Versys X 300 was only available in Green colour in the Indian market. Although unconfirmed, Kawasaki will most likely introduce the MY2019 model with both colour options.
The changes are limited to visuals, and the MY2019 Versys X 300 continues to use the same mechanical specifications as the 2018 version. Thus, the motorcycle draws 40 PS of maximum power at 11,500 rpm and peak torque of 25.7 Nm at 10,000 rpm from its 296 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, parallel twin cylinder, DOHC, 8-valve, fuel-injected engine.
Anchoring tasks are performed by the same braking setup. The Versys X 300 uses Single 290 mm petal disc with single balanced actuation dual piston calliper at the front and a single 220 mm petal disc with dual piston calliper at the rear. Suspension tasks are performed by 41 mm telescopic forks at the front (130 mm travel) and a Bottom-Link Uni-Trak, gas-charged shock with adjustable preload at the rear (148 mm travel).
The 2018 Versys X 300 was launched at a premium price tag of INR 4,69,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2019 model, with an updated paint scheme and standard ABS, will carry a higher price tag.
