After revealing the 2019 YZF-R25 (and the YZF-R3), Yamaha has unveiled the Movistar MotoGP edition of the motorcycle in Indonesia. The MotoGP edition comes in the famous Yamaha ‘Racing Blue’ colour with Movistar branding above the air-intake, on the fairing and the rear panel. Under the Movistar logo is Yamaha’s tag line “Revs Your Heart”. Other decals on the motorcycle include Semakin di Depan (translates to ON THE FRONT or ALWAYS IN THE FRONT), Yamalube, and ENEOS.

Being a special edition, the MotoGP version costs marginally more than the standard YZF-R25. The standard model is sold for 58.6 million Indonesian rupee (INR 2.83 lakh). The MotoGP edition costs 58.9 million Indonesian rupee (INR 2.85 lakh).
The 2019 YZF-R25 is available in three colour options – Yamaha Racing Blue, Matte Black and Matte Red.
Apart from the new livery, every other detail is identical to the standard motorcycle. Thus, you would find the dual, full LED headlights and an updated fairing that Yamaha calls "cross-layered". The fairing and windscreen on the 2019 YZF-R25 (and YZF-R3) pay homage to Yamaha's MotoGP race bike, the YZR-M1. The fairing is claimed to reduce aerodynamic drag and increase the top speed.
The YZF-R25 unlike other YZF-R series models does not feature the famed Deltabox frame. Instead, it's built around a steel tubular frame. The motorcycle has gained (KYB 37 mm) inverted front forks with its mid-life update. Its predecessor was equipped with conventional telescopic front forks.
Other standard features on the 2019 YZF-R25 include fully-digital instrument panel, 298 mm single hydraulic disc brake at the front, 220 mm single hydraulic unit at the rear and dual-channel ABS.
Mechanical specifications continue to feature a 249cc, parallel twin cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC engine that delivers 35.5 hp of maximum power @ 12,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm.
