The Jawa 300 Classic roadster has been spied testing for the first time in India. Classic Legends Pvt Ltd, a Mahindra Group company, is all set to unveil the new Jawa motorcycle on 15 November in Mumbai.

We have already presented a speculative digital interpretation of the upcoming Jawa 300 Classic roadster, and we must say, the preliminary IAB rendering is very similar to the test mule. While the test bike is completely camouflaged with a black sheet and a plastic tape, it gives away the overall look of the motorcycle.

The design is quite similar to the Jawa 350 OHC. The test mule sports a circular headlight, telescopic front forks and gas-charged shock absorbers at the back. The bike receives the kidney-shaped fuel tank and a brown leather-wrapped single-piece seat, while the long and chunky fenders augment the classic look at the front and back.

The Jawa 300 Classic roadster features wire-spoke wheels at both the ends wrapped with MRF rubber. While the bike features a front disc brake, the rear does with a drum brake. Expect the motorcycle to get a single-channel ABS unit as we can spot an ABS sensor cable running down to the front brake calliper.

The Jawa 300 Classic roadster comes with a rear grab rail that is welded onto the tail section. The bike receives chrome detailing to the rims, handlebar, engine, rear shocks and the signature twin ‘Jawa’ exhausts. The liquid cooling radiator is vertically stacked on the double cradle chassis.

Classic Legends has already revealed the 293 cc, single-cylinder motor that will power the upcoming Jawa 300 Classic roadster. The liquid-cooled, 4-valve, fuel injected engine is tuned to produce 27 bhp of power and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox.

According to the company, the engine has been tuned for a strong mid-range with a flat torque curve. A team of acoustic engineers has worked relentlessly to produce the signature Jawa exhaust note. The Jawa 300 Classic roadster will compete with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Thunderbird 350. It is expected to be priced around INR 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
