The India-spec 2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R will be available as a single seater model. The rear seat will be replaced by a cowl.

Potential customers can book the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R at authorised dealerships across India at a token amount of INR 1.5 lakh. The company has revealed that deliveries will commence from January 2019. The Ninja ZX-6R will be available in limited numbers, and bookings are open from 31 October till 30 November 2018.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R will be assembled at Kawasaki’s facility in Chakan, Pune. The bike will be available in the KRT edition with the Lime Green / Ebony Black paint scheme. Similar to the Ninja ZX-10R, the 2019 Ninja ZX-6R will come as a single seater only.

The motorcycle, inspired by the ZX-10R, comes with twin LED headlights, a semi-digital instrument cluster and an upswept tail section. The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R comes equipped with features like KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System), KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter), and KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control). The bike rides on 6-spoke 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels that wrap on Bridgestone BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S22 tyres.

Powering the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is a 636 cc, in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes paired to a 6-speed transmission with a standard slipper clutch. Kawasaki hasn’t revealed the engine specifications yet. However, a leaked report suggests that it will produce around 128 bhp of maximum power, while it will have a top speed of 248 km/h.

In comparison, the engine on the previous generation Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R produced a maximum power of 129 bhp at 13,500 rpm and a peak torque of 70.99 Nm at 11,500 rpm. The new model is expected to carry the same inverted front forks from Showa and a bottom-link mono-shock at the rear.
