The 2018 Datsun GO and 2018 Datsun GO+ feature some cosmetic enhancements aimed at making them look more visually appealing and more technologically advanced. On the outside, they feature new front bumper with pronounced ends for aggressive styling and LED DRLs, new radiator grille pattern, sharper lower air intake, body coloured ORVMs, 14-inch alloy wheels and rear wiper.
Inside, the redesigned dashboard has closable glovebox for storing items safely. Rectangular air vents have replaced circular units in the centre, and there’s a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support in place of the single-DIN audio system. The instrument panel sees the addition of a tachometer to keep the revs in check.
The front seats are now conventionally designed, and the parking brake, also new, is now positioned between them. While the old models feature only front power windows, the new models have rear power windows as well. On the safety front, the new models offer not only driver airbag but also front passenger airbag.
The 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine standard in both old models should have no changes. In the current form, it develops 68 PS at 5,000 rpm and 104 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, but Datsun may offer an AMT option in the facelifted models. The old hatchback and MPV deliver a fuel economy (ARAI) of 20.1 km/l and 19.44 km/l respectively.
