IndianAutosBlog reader, Mr. Harman Arora, has made modifications to his 2016 Hyundai Creta to make it look like a 2018 Creta (facelift), but that's not all. Mr. Arora shares that his Creta 1.6-liter VTVT SX+ Automatic boasts features unavailable even on the 2018 Creta SX (O).
These include a front parking camera, suede-like black headliner, chocolate brown colour theme for the seats, 18 inch alloy wheels on 245/45 Pirelli tyres, LED taillights, a high-end audio system featuring Mercury speakers for the front and rear, dual subwoofers, amplifier, copper damping sheets with custom built housings for the front pillar mounted tweeters.
The head unit is the 2018 Creta's updated touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Mr. Arora also shares that his Creta featured an electric tailgate at one point of time.
On the exterior modifications, the 2016 Creta wears the three slat chrome grille of the 2018 Creta, receiving the updated foglight housings along with a silver skid plate. The black body cladding is painted in white and the A-pillars feature a black finish. However, the pre-facelift headlights having the integrated daytime running lights are retained, states Mr. Arora. The above cosmetic updates costing INR 31,000 were carried out in a Hyundai service centre.
No changes to the mechanicals of this SUV aside from a K&N performance air filter. Then again, the pre-facelift Creta and the 2018 Creta are mechanically largely unchanged, to begin with.
