Rushlane has published a new set of spy images of the 2019 Hyundai Grand i10. The new model will be introduced after the launch of the QXi sub-4-metre compact SUV in April 2019. The latest spy images reveal the dual-tone machined alloy wheels of the next-gen Grand i10.
The current generation Hyundai Grand i10 was launched in August 2013 and received a mid-life facelift in February 2017. With the present model approaching the end of its six-year lifecycle and new emission and safety norms coming in place over the next 18 months, the Indian subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company is working on the next generation of its B1-segment member. As with the earlier two iterations, India looks all set to become the first market to receive the new i10.
The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 sports the latest variation of the signature cascading grille. The headlamps and the foglamps carry halogen bulbs. While the overall silhouette seems to be similar to that of the current version, these photos reveal a rising beltline that should inject some dynamism into the car's profile. Akin to the current model, the next-gen version boasts a large DLO and similar-looking B-pillars.
As has been the case with most Hyundai cars, the 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 should offer many comfort- and convenience-enhancing features, including a floating-type touchscreen display for the infotainment unit, steering-mounted audio and telephone controls, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, cooled glovebox, and electrically adjustable and folding ORVMs.
The new car will comply with the Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program (BNVSAP) safety regulations that come into effect from 1 October 2018. All the variants will feature dual front airbags, ABS, speed-sensing door lock, impact-sensing door unlock, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system, and seatbelt warning for front passengers. It may be noted here that the India-spec Grand i10 has received a Zero-star NCAP rating. Measures taken to meet the Indian crash test norms should automatically make the new model much safer than the existing version.

The next generation Grand i10 will reportedly offer an optional AMT. The Hyundai AH2 will become the first car from the manufacturer to provide the AMT technology, which will be dubbed 'Smart Auto'. These updates should help the 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 challenge the market leadership of the Maruti Swift which is outselling the Hyundai 2x the volume.
