Founded in May 1996, Hyundai Motor India Ltd is currently the second-largest carmaker in the country. While it's well-known that the carmaker plans to launch the AH2 small car later this year, there are at least seven other vehicles that will be introduced shortly. Here's a look at all the upcoming Hyundai cars in India -

1. Hyundai AH2 (all-new Hyundai Santro)
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) will introduce the new AH2 hatchback by the end of October 2018. The new small car will reportedly revive the Santro brand. It will have a base price of around INR 4 lakh. Underpinning the new Santro will be the last-gen i10's platform. Power will come from a new version of the 1.1-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine. The new Santro will become the carmaker's first model to offer an optional AMT, dubbed Smart Auto.
2. Hyundai QXi
The Hyundai QXi (codename) is a sub-4-metre compact SUV that will reportedly launch in April 2019. The Maruti Vitara Brezza rival was previewed by the Carlino concept at the Auto Expo 2016. Powering the SUV will be a 1.0-liter T-GDi turbo-petrol engine that outputs 118 bhp and 117 Nm. The diesel variant will get the i20's 1.4-litre CRDI powerplant. Prices should start at roughly INR 6 lakh. The QXi is easily among the most promising upcoming Hyundai cars in India.
3. Hyundai Kona
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) will launch the Kona electric SUV in H1, 2019. It will be sold through select Hyundai dealerships in less than 20 cities. Powering the Hyundai Kona (39 kWh version) is a 135 bhp electric motor that supplies 325 Nm of peak torque with a 200-mile range in the UK. The carmaker claims that the EV can accelerate to 100 kmph from standstill in just 7.6 seconds. In the UK, the highest specification (64 kWh) offers a driving range of 300 miles in a single charge.
4. New Hyundai Tucson (facelift)
The 2019 Hyundai Tucson facelift looks likely to launch in India in the first half of next year. The facelift brings in new LED headlights, cascading grille, new bumpers, L-shaped LED DRLs, 19-inch wheels, new exhaust finishers, and new tail lamps. On the inside, it gets a new centre console, new instrument cluster, and new upholstery. The infotainment system has a new 7-inch floating touchscreen display. In the USA, the 2019 Tucson will become the company’s first model to be equipped with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.
5. New Hyundai Elantra (facelift)
Hyundai Motor Company recently unveiled the mid-cycle facelift for the Elantra sedan. The refresh brings in a thoroughly updated front-end, which gets a more angular design for the headlamps, a new version of the cascading grille and a bolder bumper. In the side profile, the car gets new 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear-end gets L-shaped tail-lights. The license plate housing has moved from the trunk lid to the bumper. The interior gets a revised centre console and several feature additions. Engine options remain unchanged. The Elantra facelift could make it to India by the middle of next year.
6. New Hyundai i20
The next-generation Hyundai Elite i20 is due in 2020. One of the engines that would be available by then is the 1.0-litre T-GDI three-cylinder engine from the QXi compact SUV. This engine should help the car easily compete with the Maruti Baleno RS and the upcoming Tata X451 (codename). The next i20 will also get an optional Automated Manual Transmission, a version of the 'Smart Auto' that debuts on the Hyundai AH2.
7. New Hyundai Grand i10
HMIL could launch the next-gen Grand i10 in the second half of next year or by early 2019. The new model will reportedly get a lighter platform and updated versions of the same engines that power the current car. Prices are likely to remain largely unchanged. The new car will become a direct rival to the Maruti Swift.
8. New Hyundai Xcent
The next-generation Xcent sub-4-metre compact sedan will be based on the all-new Hyundai Grand i10. It will share its engine and the new platform with the hatchback sibling. The new model will be a direct rival to the Maruti Dzire, and is expected in 2020-2021.
