GaadiWaadi has shared images of the upcoming Hero Duet 125; only, Hero will be calling it the Destini 125. According to the report, the Hero Destini 125 and the Hero Maestro Edge 125 were showcased to dealers recently, indicating that a launch is around the corner.
Hero Motocorp showcased the 125 cc scooters at this year's Auto Expo, stating that they were designed and developed at Hero’s Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur. Power for the Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 125 comes from a single cylinder 124.6 cc engine developing 8.7 bhp at 6,750 rpm and 10.2 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. It is paired with a Variomatic Drive (CVT) transmission, and features the company's i3S idle start/stop technology for increased efficiency.
On the feature front, the Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 125 come with an analog dial for the speedometer, but a digital screen shows other parameters, 90/100-10 section tubeless tires, LED taillamp, external fuel lid, under-seat storage light and a mobile charging point.
At the Auto Expo 2018, the Duet 125 (Destini 125) on display featured 10-inch alloy wheels at the front and back, whereas the Maestro Edge 125 sported a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheel setup. The Maestro Edge 125 on display also had a front disc brake, which could be an option for buyers.

On the positioning front, the Destini 125 will be pitched as a family scooter, whereas the Maestro Edge 125 will appeal to a younger audience with its sportier styling and optional front disc brake. A previous report stated that the market launch of these scooters would take place by September.
