India Kawasaki Motors is offering a cash discount of INR 41,000 on the Kawasaki Ninja 300, under the ‘Monsoon Offer.’ The offer also includes an official ‘Kawasaki Riding Jacket’ apart from the cash discount.
The ‘Monsoon Offer’ is also available on the Kawasaki Versys 650, Ninja Z1000 and the Kawasaki KLX models. The Versys 650 gets a cash discount of INR 16,000 while the KLX range receives a free genuine Kawasaki jersey or INR 5,000 cash discount. The Kawasaki Ninja Z1000 and Z1000R receive a whopping cash discount of INR 2.50 lakh along with free accessories of INR 51,000. These offers are applicable on 2017 model year Kawasaki bikes.
Last month, Kawasaki delivered the first Ninja 400 in South India in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Kawasaki has lately been infamous for exorbitantly pricing its entry-level performance bikes like the Ninja 400 and Versys-X 300. The company also offered a discount of INR 20,000 on the Kawasaki Ninja 400 in April 2018. According to sales data, Kawasaki sold only two units of Ninja 300 in June 2018.
That said, rumours are rife that Kawasaki is planning heavy localization for the Ninja 300, which may reduce its price by up to INR 1 lakh. The Kawasaki Ninja 300 employs a 296 cc, four-stroke, parallel twin engine that is capable of producing 38.5 bhp of max power at 11,000 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm. The engine pairs to a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch.
The bike uses a 37 mm telescopic forks and a 5-way adjustable bottom-link Uni-Trak gas-charged mono-shock at the rear. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels that run on 110/70 R17 front and 150/60 R17 rear tires. Braking anchors include a 290 mm petal disc brake at the front and a 220 mm petal disc at the rear, while both get dual-piston callipers.

A steel diamond-tube type chassis underpins the bike, which has helped in a low seat height of 785 mm and a Kerb weight of 172 Kg along with a fuel tank capacity of 17 litres. The bike features a ground clearance of 140 mm while the wheelbase stands at 1,405 mm. On a normal day, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 costs INR 3.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
