Hyundai Grand i10 prices to go up by 3% in August

Hyundai has announced that it will increase prices of the Grand i10 in India by up to 3%. The price hike will become effective in August 2018.

Hyundai cites an increase in input and material costs behind the Grand i10's price hike.

Hyundai says that it decided to hiked prices of the Grand i10 because of the increase in input and material costs. Another possible reason is creating a safe space for the Hyundai AH2 (new Hyundai Santro) that will arrive by October. This model will slot between the Hyundai Eon and Hyundai Grand i10.

The Hyundai Grand i10 is available in four grades: Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta. Features like chrome radiator grille, body-coloured bumpers, two-tone interior, front power windows, blue interior illumination and driver-side airbag are standard.

Body-coloured/chrome door handles, body-coloured ORVMs with electric adjustment and folding functions, 14-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, roof rails, rear spoiler, passive keyless entry, push-button start, leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, four power windows, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink, front passenger airbag, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, rear camera and more features are available moving up to higher grades.

Hyundai offers the Grand i10 with two engine options: 1.2-litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol and 1.2-litre U2 CRDi diesel. The petrol engine produces 83 PS and 11.6 kg.m (113.76 Nm) of torque and the diesel engine develops 75 PS and 19.4 kg.m (190.25 Nm) of torque. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic (petrol-only). The fuel economy is rated at 19.77 km/l (petrol-MT)/ 17.49 km/l (petrol-AT)/24.95 km/l (diesel-MT).
