Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited today launched the 2018 Suzuki Gixxer SP and the Gixxer SF SP range in India. The Gixxer SP is priced at INR 87,250, while the Suzuki Gixxer SF SP costs INR 1,00,630 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Suzuki Gixxer SP comes with ABS while the Gixxer SF SP features ABS and fuel injection. The 2018 Gixxer/SF SP series features an attractive gold and black colour scheme with a new SP 2018 Emblem. The bikes also get new graphics on the front cowl and the fuel tank. Apart from the cosmetic updates, the 2018 Gixxer/SF SP series remains the same.

Powering the Suzuki Gixxer and the Gixxer SF SP series the 155 cc, single-cylinder engine with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology that produces 14.6 bhp of maximum power at 8,000 rpm, and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine pairs to a 5-speed gearbox. The 2018 Gixxer and the Gixxer SF SP Series is available Metallic Majestic Gold and Glass Sparkle Black paint schemes respectively, across Suzuki dealerships. Both the bikes get 17-inch alloy wheels with MRF tires.

The Suzuki Gixxer competes with the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Honda CB Hornet 160R and Yamaha FZ-S FI V2.0, while the Suzuki Gixxer SF rivals Yamaha Fazer FI V2.0. Both bikes feature a digital instrument cluster, sporty twin-port exhaust and LED taillights. The Gixxer/SF get 41 mm front telescopic forks and a 7-step adjustable rear mono-shock. Braking anchors include disc brakes at front and rear with optional single-channel ABS. Additionally, the Suzuki Gixxer SF also features a full fairing.
The company will launch the Suzuki Burgman Street in India on 19 July. The company is also working on developing an electric scooter and motorcycle for the Indian market.
