The 2018 Honda Amaze has gone on sale in India. Prices of the Maruti Dzire rival start at INR 5.60 lakhs (ex-showroom India). Honda Amaze automatic range starts INR 7.40 lakhs (ex-showroom India) onwards.

The CVT equipped variants of the Amaze cost INR 80,000-90,000 more than their manual counterparts. Honda is not offering the CVT variants in fully loaded VX grades. They are limited to S and V grades only.

Honda Amaze specifications
Honda has stuck with the first generation Amaze's engine options. Customers get a choice between a 1.2 L i-VTEC petrol and a 1.5 L i-DTEC diesel engine. The 1.2 L petrol paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT has a power and torque output of 90 PS and 110 Nm respectively. The 1.5 L diesel with 5-speed manual transmission configuration develops 100 PS and 200 Nm, while the diesel with CVT configuration has a power and torque output of 80 PS and 160 Nm respectively. As per the company's claims, the Amaze petrol manual and CVT return 19.5 km/l and 19.0 km/l respectively. Diesel variants have a claimed fuel economy rating of 27.4 km/l (manual) and 23.8 km/l (automatic).
