Honda is gearing up to launch the second generation Amaze on May 16. In a bid to make it more compelling, the 2018 Honda Amaze will come with a best in class 3 years/unlimited kilometers warranty.
The only other rival offering a 3-year warranty is the Hyundai Xcent but it has a cap of 1 lakh kilometers. Volkswagen offers an unlimited kilometers warranty on the Ameo, but only for two years. The Ford Aspire comes with a 2 year/1 lakh kilometer warranty while the Tata Tigor offers a 2 year/75,000 kilometer warranty. Segment leader Maruti Dzire is only offered with a 2 year/40,000 kilometers warranty.
Other benefits for prospective customers of the 2018 Honda Amaze include a special introductory price for the first 20,000 buyers. Honda is expected to price the compact sedan very competitively at around INR 5.60-6.00 lakhs for the base petrol variant.
The 2018 Honda Amaze will be offered with a healthy list of features. The top-end VX grade will get a DIGIPAD 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto And Apple CarPlay support, engine start/stop button, request sensor for keyless entry, electrically adjustable and electric folding ORVMs, automatic air conditioning, LED position lamps, rear parking sensors with camera, fog lamps, and alloy wheels.

1.2 L i-VTEC petrol and a 1.5 L i-DTEC diesel will be the engine choices. Both pair with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. Power output of the petrol variant stands at 90 PS and 110 Nm, while the diesel engine develops 100 PS (manual)/80 PS (CVT) and 200 Nm (manual)/160 Nm (CVT). Honda is claiming an overall fuel efficiency figure of 19.5 km/l for the petrol manual and 19.0 km/l for the petrol automatic variant and 27.4 km/l and 23.8 km/l for the diesel manual and automatic variants respectively.
