Yamaha Motor Indonesia has launched the 2018 Yamaha R15 v3.0 in Indonesia at IDR 35,200,000 on-the-road (OTR), Jakarta.
The 2018 model comes with new paint jobs and upside down front fork with gold finish, in line with the new R1 and R6. Racing Yellow, Racing Blue and Racing Black are the colours available. Apart from the new visual changes, the mechanicals have remained unchanged. The motorcycle comes with LED headlight and tail light. Instrumentation is a multifunctional digital unit with a programmable shift light. The switchgear includes hazard lamp function as per Indonesian norms.

Powering the 2018 Yamaha R15 v3.0 is a single cylinder 155.1 cc LC4V engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), liquid cooling and fuel injection. The mill makes 19.3 PS of power at 10,000 rpm, and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. The engine works in conjunction with a 6-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch.

Upside down front fork and link-type rear monoshock suspend the Deltabox frame. The 17-inch alloy wheels wear 100-section front and 140-section rear rubber. Brakes include disc on both ends, with the front measuring 282 mm. In the Indonesian market, Yamaha also sells the R15 Movistar edition. The bike comes with exclusive MotoGP-inspired livery, and is IDR 600,000 more expensive than the standard bike, OTR, Jakarta.
