The Bajaj Pulsar UG6 range is under development, reports Autocar. As per the media site, the bike will be built on a new engine platform; and to cope up with the upcoming emission norms, it will feature 4-valve and fuel injection technology.

Expect the upcoming motorcycle to have the recognizable silhouette of the Pulsar family.

Fuel injection will come into use as it is difficult for carburettors to achieve the required emission levels. The website also reveals that the new platform will be versatile enough to bring out bikes up to 250 cc capacity. The new mill will also reportedly be more refined, coupled with additional power and will pair with an updated transmission.

Apart from the new engine, all-new Pulsar is said to have a new design, that is also in-line with the Pulsar’s traditional design language. The frame, alloy wheel design, swingarm and the tail section will witness an overhaul to make it look more modern. The rear will reportedly use a monoshock, which is a first for the standard Pulsar range.

After the current generation bike, the upcoming product will have major changes to the dynamics.

The bike is likely to feature single-channel ABS, in compliance with the upcoming safety norms. According to Autocar, the Pulsar 180 is likely to be phased out as there is already the NS 160, and the upcoming 150cc UG6, apart from the soon-to-be-launched UG5. However, there is no official word on this possibility. The media brand reports that the all-new Bajaj Pulsar range is likely to make its debut in 2019, and may be launched in late-2019. When it enters the domestic market, it will rival the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
