Bajaj has released three new Bajaj Dominar 400 commercials on YouTube, taking pot shots at Royal Enfield yet again. These commercial series are a part of the second iteration of advertisements with ‘Haathi Mat Palo’ catchphrase. Bajaj launched the first commercial taking a dig at Royal Enfield back in August last year.

The commercials bear the hashtag ‘HaathiMatPalo’. The first video shows how the ‘elephants’ are reluctant to stop by the pond whereas the Dominar stops in a trice. Interestingly, the shots showing the elephants have the characteristic ‘thump’ sound. The second video shows a pair of riders struggling to get their elephants up, and the third video shows a group of elephant riders trying to navigate an uphill curve as the Dominar bikes zoom past them effortlessly.

The brand launched the 2018 Bajaj Dominar 400 range with new colours: Rock Matte Black, Canyon Red and Glacier Blue. The three colour variants sport premium Gold Dust alloy wheels. The price is the same as the previous generation bikes, at INR 1,42,109 for the standard variant; and INR 1,56,270 for the dual-channel ABS variant. Both prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

Apart from the visual changes, the mechanicals of the bike are the same as the previous generation bike. Key features of the Bajaj Dominar 400 include power-cruiser styling, all-LED lighting system, and liquid cooled engine with slipper clutch. The 2018 model is now available across all Bajaj Auto dealerships. Though it has a unique styling, the only other touring alternatives in the segment are the Royal Enfield Classic and Thunderbird range; and the UM Renegade range.
