According to Autocar, Suzuki Motorcycle India will launch a new motorcycle in February, at the 2018 India Auto Expo.
The website reports that the upcoming motorcycle will enter the shores via CKD route. According to the media house, it may be a middleweight motorcycle- either the Suzuki V-Strom 650 or the GSX-S750. The former slots in right between the entry-level V-Strom 250 and the top-end V-Strom 1000. The latter is a naked version of the GSX-R750. Both the motorcycles come with dual-channel ABS, low-rom assist and Suzuki Easy Start System.

The V-Strom 650 comes with a massive 20-litre fuel tank; and the multifunction instrument cluster is an analogue-digital combo unit. Powering the motorcycle is a 645 cc DOHC V-twin engine with liquid cooling. The powerplant is good for 71 PS at 8,8000 rpm, and 62 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox, and features switchable traction control with two levels.
The Suzuki GSX-S750 employs an all-digital instrument cluster. The brand has blessed the bike with a three-level traction control system. The engine is a 749 cc in-line four DOHC unit. It generates 114 PS of power at 10,500 rpm, and 81 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a 6-speed gearbox. Cycle parts include KYB front upside-down fork, and a link-type monoshock at the rear. The bike gets Nissin radial callipers with 310 mm twin petal discs and a rear disc.

The media house reports that the V-Strom may be a little more expensive than the Kawasaki Versys 650. The GSX-S750 however, might be competitively priced to rival the Kawasaki Z900. Expect more details about the upcoming bikes at the show. In the UK market, the V-Strom 650 costs GBP 7,399 (INR 6.47 lakhs), and the GSX-S750 costs GBP 7,699 (INR 6.73 lakhs).
