A lower version of the SR 150, the Aprilia SR 125 will be launched in the country in the next few weeks, reports Autocar India.
As per the website, the Aprilia SR 125 has arrived at certain dealerships and costs INR 65,309. Compared to the ex-showroom, Mumbai price of the Aprilia SR 150, the scooter is approximately INR 2,850 less expensive. However, Aprilia is yet to announce the 125cc scooter’s price figure officially. The SR 125 was spotted undergoing tests in July last year.

Powering the Aprilia SR 125 is likely the Vespa VXL/SXL 125’s engine. In the Vespa, the 125cc 3-valve OHC engine makes 10.06 PS and 10.6 Nm. The engine mates with a continuously variable transmission. Expect Aprilia to tune the engine according to the sporty scooter’s character. Cycle parts include telescopic front fork, and single rear shock absorber. The scooter comes to a halt using disc brake at the front and drum at the rear.
The Aprilia SR 125 sports slightly different graphics, and the scooter comes in two colours- Blue and Silver. In the sporty 125 cc scooter segment, the SR 125’s only rival is the Honda Grazia. Expect Aprilia to showcase the scooter, as well as the SR 150 in new colours at the 2018 India Auto Expo.
