The video stars Carl Fogarty, a seven-time world championship winner; and Gary Johnson, a two-time Isle Of Man TT winner, each riding a 2018 Triumph Speed Triple. Going by the teaser, there will be two variants, one standard and the other being performance-oriented. The bike will employ a TFT colour display, just like the one found in the 2017 Street Triple range. Triumph has replaced the 10-spoke Y-shaped alloy wheels with new five-spoke ones. The headlights have LED DRL, and the tail light is LED. The overall silhouette remains the same as the older generation Speed Triple.

The current generation Triumph Speed Triple S employs a 1,050cc inline-three DOHC engine with liquid cooling. It punches out 140 PS at 9500 rpm and 112 Nm at 7850 rpm. The powerplant mates with a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch. Expect Triumph to tune the engine with more power in the 2018 version. The bike was spotted testing in October, last year.
43 mm Showa adjustable upside-down front fork and adjustable Showa monoshock suspend the aluminium beam twin spar frame in the current bike. Brakes include twin 320 mm discs with Brembo radial callipers, and single 255 mm rear disc with Nissin calliper. 5 riding modes, switchable traction control and ABS are standard.
