The 2018 Suzuki Ertiga has started briskly in Indonesia, with 6,772 bookings received within 70 days. That said, Suzuki will also begin shipping it to export markets.
A new report from Antara News, citing Harold Donnel, Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS)' Head of Brand Development and Marketing Research, says that exports of the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga will commence in September. 20 markets located in Asia, Oceania, South America and the Caribbean will source their all-new Suzuki Ertiga from Indonesia.
SIS has set a target of exporting total 12 thousand units of the second-gen Suzuki Ertiga by March 2019. Speaking to Okezone this week, Donnel revealed that both LHD and RHD markets would import from the Bekasi plant. In the domestic market, the company has delivered 5,393 units as of 21 June.
The Heartect platform underpins the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga, and so, it is slightly costlier compared to its predecessor. It employs the new K15B 1.5-litre VVT naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 104.7 PS and 138 Nm of torque. This engine will power the global 2018 Suzuki Jimny Sierra. 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic are the gearbox choices.
Projector headlamps, LED rear combination lamps, passive keyless entry, engine start/stop button, 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual power outlets, ventilated cupholders and ESP are some of the main features of the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga. Prices start at IDR 193,000,000 (INR 9,25,352.44).
