Powering the 2018 Honda CBR250R is a single cylinder 249.6 cc engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant is now BS-IV compliant, and makes 26.5 PS at 8,500 rpm, 22.9 Nm at 7,000 rpm. Pairing with the engine is a 6-speed transmission. The cycle parts remain the same as the previous generation bike, with telescopic front fork and a rear Pro Link Monoshock. The 17-inch alloys are shod with 110-section front and 140-section rear tubeless tyres.
The sports tourer comes to a halt using a 296 mm front and a 220 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. Expect Honda to announce the price for the 2018 CBR250R in the weeks ahead. The bike is likely to cost around INR 5,000 over the previous generation motorcycle. The website reports that the on-road price will be a shade over INR 2 lakh in most of the cities in the country. It rivals the Yamaha FZ25, Yamaha Fazer 25, Royal Enfield Thunderbird range, and UM Renegade range.
