The 2018 Honda Amaze recorded the highest ever monthly sales for a single model in HCIL’s history in May. With the July sales, the entry-level sedan has broken its own record now.
The 2018 Honda Amaze sold a record-breaking 9,789 units in May. This number rose to 10,180 units in July. That, combined with the sustained sales of Honda City, has helped HCIL achieve its best-ever July sales.
HCIL delivered 19,970 units in the domestic market and exported a total of 638 units. Domestic sales and exports combined, it shipped 20,608 units. With the beginning of festivals this month, it expects the domestic sales to grow this year.
The all-new Honda Amaze is available in E, S, V and VX grades. LED DRLs, passive keyless entry, engine start-stop button, 15-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, standard reverse parking sensors, rear parking camera, standard ABS with EBD and standard dual airbags are some of the key features of the sub-4 metre sedan.
The 2018 Honda Amaze is the first-ever Honda available with a diesel-CVT combination. In all, there are four mechanical configurations: petrol-MT, petrol-CVT, diesel-MT and diesel-CVT. The fuel economy rating (ARAI) of these configurations is 19.5 km/l, 19.0 km/l, 27.4 km/l and 23.8 km/l respectively.
The petrol engine is the 1.2-litre i-VTEC unit that produces 90 PS and 110 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is the 1.5-litre i-DTEC unit. It is tuned to deliver 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque in the MT model and 80 PS and 160 Nm of torque in the CVT.

The 2018 Honda Amaze was available at an introductory price of INR 5,59,900 (ex-showroom Delhi) onwards until July 31, 2018. Since yesterday, prices start at INR 5,80,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). This is likely to have some effect on the sales.
