The price of the 2018 Bajaj Discover 125 has been leaked by Bikewale. As per the website, the motorcycle costs INR 53,491 for the drum brake, and INR 56,314 for the disc brake variant. Both prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai.
Compared to the Bajaj V12, the 2018 Bajaj Discover 125 (disc variant) is INR 4,969 cheaper. Thus, there is a considerable price-gap to demarcate the two. The 2018 Discover 125 features subtle graphic updates. The powertrain, lower portion of the front fork, and the 17-inch alloy wheels are now in black. The black undertones give the bike a sportier image. The motorcycle was spotted last week.
The current generation Discover 125 employs a 124.6 cc DTS-i mill. It generates 11 PS of power at 8,000 rpm, and 10.8 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a 5-speed transmission, the bike can reach a claimed top speed of 100 kmph. Expect the 2018 Bajaj Discover 125 to retain the same powerplant.
Coming to the cycle parts, the motorcycle comes with telescopic front fork, and twin Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear. Brakes include a 200 mm front disc (optional), and a 130 mm rear drum. The 2018 Bajaj Discover 125 competes against Honda Shine SP, Yamaha Saluto, and the 2018 Hero Super Splendor which was unveiled recently. The current generation Discover 125 costs INR 53,171, ex-showroom, Delhi for the drum variant. Bajaj will launch the commuter tomorrow, along with the 2018 product range.
