Mahindra XUV500 petrol has been introduced in the UAE by local distributor Galadari Automobiles. It is available in two trims - W8 FWD and W10 AWD. It is powered by a 2.2 L mHawk petrol engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Mahindra XUV500 petrol is priced at AED 74,900 (INR 1,321,645) for the W8 variant, which is strictly front wheel drive. The W10 AWD variant is priced at around AED 85,000 (INR 1,499,864).
The 2.2 L mHawk engine that powers the XUV500 petrol produces 140 bhp and 320 Nm. These specs are quite similar to the 2.2 L mHawk diesel engine that powers the XUV500 sold here in India. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed Aisin sourced gearbox.
Visually, the vehicle looks identical to the one sold in India and other markets globally. Features on offer include six airbags, cruise control, 17 inch alloy wheels, electric sunroof, logo projection lamps on ORVMs, 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS, and leather upholstery.

A media report from earlier this month claims that Mahindra will launch a petrol variant of the XUV500 in India as well. It will be powered by the same engine as the UAE-spec model with the same power and torque outputs. The Mahindra XUV500 petrol will be sold with a 6-speed automatic transmission in just one spec called G9. The petrol XUV500 could be launched along with the introduction of the facelift early next year.
