As per a report on Gaadiwaadi, the production version of the Hero XTreme 200S is likely to debut on December 18.
On the same day, Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming 125cc scooter and a 110cc Hero Passion Pro will also make their debut, reports the website. The production Hero XTreme 200S will enter the Indian two-wheeler space by the end of this financial year. The concept version was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in India. Expect Hero to showcase the production version at the 2018 Auto Expo in the country.

The diamond-type frame houses an all-new 200cc single cylinder air-cooled mill. The powerplant produces 18.6 PS of peak power at 8,500 rpm and 17.2 Nm of maximum torque at 6,000 rpm, and pairs with a five-speed gearbox.

Telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock hold the frame. For braking, the motorcycle employs disc on both ends. Hero MotoCorp is likely to offer an ABS variant as an option. Expect the bike to carry a price tag of INR 1 lakh, ex-showroom. Once launched, it will lock horns with the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS200 in the segment. The Indian two-wheeler maker also plans to launch a 200cc offroader in late 2018. Hero showcased the concept bike, the XPulse at the 2017 EICMA show in Milan, Italy.
