Just last week, BMW revealed the production BMW X2. Now, X-Tomi Design has released a speculative rendering of a near-production BMW X2 M.
The BMW X2 M in the rendering features aggressive and sharper front apron similar to that of other BMW M models, larger air intakes, side skirts and M badge on the (left) kidney grille and front fenders. The actual BMW X2 M could further differentiate itself from the BMW X2 with double kidney grilles, unique alloy wheels, M rear apron, M rear spoiler and quad exhaust tips.
Whether BMW plans to actually make a BMW X2 M or not is currently unknown. The company has already announced that it will offer the new SAV in a model sportier than M Sport as well - M Sport X. The BMW X2 M Sport X, the first-ever M Sport X model, combines design elements from BMW M and the BMW X family.

BMW will offer the BMW X2 in three engine models at launch: sDrive20i, xDrive20d and xDrive25d. The trio will have turbocharged four-cylinder engines under the hood. In early 2018, the three-cylinder sDrive18i and the four-cylinder xDrive20i, X2 sDrive18d and X2 xDrive18d options will join the range. An internally leaked document has confirmed the existence of sDrive28i, xDrive28i and sDrive16d options, as well as a performance-oriented M35i xDrive model. The BMW X2 M35i xDrive will reportedly sport a 296 bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.
The BMW X2 will reach the first markets in March 2018. BMW will launch it in India at a later date.
